Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
AAC is a supplement for impairments in speech-language production and/or comprehension. There are many different types of AAC including signs, gestures, picture communication boards, and speech-generating devices.
Orofacial Myofunctional therapy
This is a special approach that addresses the muscles of the mouth, tongue and face. The therapist performs exercises that are designed specifically to train proper breathing, speaking, chewing and swallowing.
Tethered Oral Tissue (TOTS)
Tethered oral tissue creates restriction of various oral articulators as it relates to speech and/or feeding. This is commonly referred to as a tongue tie, lip tie, etc.
